Have you seen the newest food pyramid? There were some significant changes when the nutritionists recently updated the dietary information. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, healthy oils, and healthy proteins like nuts, beans, fish, and chicken now comprise the larger bottom tiers of the pyramid. Pasta, bad fats, sugar, and red meats now sit at the top and should all be eaten sparingly. The biggest changers here are that pastas and red meat went from the bottom parts of the pyramid to the top (the group we should eat the least of).
