Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. Records of fasting can be dated all the way back to biblical times. In the past, it had been used to focus one’s mind to concentrate on other things. More recently, people have had success doing this to lose weight. There is no specific type of eating required as the key is the pattern of eating (however, make sure that you are eating something- that is part of the cycle).
